Hard to believe, my little ladybug has gotten so big.
We had a nice family birthday celebration today. She woke up and requested donuts for breakfast so dh ran out and picked them up while we got ready. After donuts she opened her present.
Her gifts revolved around her latest obsession... American Girl dolls. She got one this spring and has been bugging for accessories ever since. So from her Nana in Texas she got a giant pony for her doll to ride on, a slumber party set and an outfit for her doll. From Great Grandma she got the beauty chair. The look on her face seeing the beauty chair was priceless, she had been begging for that since we first saw it. Also from Texas she got the Golden Compass from her Aunt and cousins.
From her Nana & Grandad she got a super cute Hannah Andersen dress and some clothes for the spring.
From her Pop Pop and Ms Karen she got the cutest Tinkerbell collectible figurine.
My sister gave her the Ariel dvd she has been asking for.
From us she got a new ds game and some other small gifts but her big gift was the new addition to her doll family... Robyn. She has long blonde hair and green eyes. She not an American girl doll as we just could spend the money for one right now but Target sells their own version at a third of the price and she was thrilled, so that is all that counts.
After gifts we headed to the movies to see Madagascar, it was pretty cute, and then back home to just relax and have some play time. She and I snuggled in bed watching the Ariel movie while daddy watched football, then we had lunch and played a bit with all of her new toy.
After that we went to dinner... She picked Ihop of all places LOL She wanted to go to Rain forest Cafe but it is 30+ min away so we told her not today but we will take her another day.... had she told us this early in the day we would have gone but it was to late on a Sunday night to drive out there.
She seemed to really enjoy her birthday... today we sent in cupcakes to school.... she picked Scooby Doo.... strange for the Princess obsessed girlie girl but whatever makes her happy.
Pictures to come later tonight
