Crazy weekend! part 1

Whew I'm so glad I was heading back to work today LOL this weekend was nutso!!

Friday we picked up Sarah and headed out to dinner, then went shopping for her girlfriends birthday gift. By the time we got home it was 7:30 and we had to pack with out Sarah noticing LOL that is a tough one with my nosey Nellie but we managed to dig out the bathing suits with out her seeing.

Since we had to be in downtown by 9 we all hit the hay early and woke up at the crack of dawn on Saturday. We piled one very sleepy Sarah into the car, along with her 2 bears, her dvds and her DS and headed off. We made it to the clinic early and they were able to take us early YAY!

Then we piled back into the car for another hour drive to go to the water park. This whole time Sarah just thinks we are going home LOL She keeps asking why is it taking so long... We finally pull up at the hotel and dh runs inside to check us in. While we are waiting my smarty pants starts spelling the words on the side of the hotel bus R..E..S..O..R..T A..N..D W..A..T..E..R then she gets to the last part and says "Mommy that says PARK... water park.... what are we doing here, what are all these people doing here... what is going on"

Thankful dh walked out at that moment and we let her in on the big birthday surprise!!!

She had an absolute blast and completely exhausted us. After we got settled into the room we had lunch and then went into the park. She rode all the slides she was tall enough for (all but 1) and we had a great time getting soaked. Exhausted after 2hours of non stop play, we headed back to the room to get cleaned up and then went to make your own cupcake party.

She was covered from ear to ear with chocolate LOL! After hitting up the balloon animal maker, we went to make our own animal in their Build a Bear type of place. Sarah picked out a purple bear who she has named Lilac and dressed her in pink pjs... very cute! Then we headed to dinner and after dinner back to the water park.

After the 2nd trip to the water park I was just exhausted and sore (my poor abdomen is so tender) so I rested in the room while she and daddy had some alone time. They played in the arcade and then Sarah joined in a dance party. They got back to the room and she passed out before I was even done icing my hip :-)
