5 weeks

Its hard to believe my little man is already over a month old! He had his 1 month check up yesterday and is doing great. He is now 9lbs 10.5oz... up 1lb 6oz from his 2wk appt! He is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. He is still a little jaundice but she isn't concerned. His ped is in agreement of delaying vax so no vax this visit either, we go back on Nov 30th for his 2mo appt.

Sarah also went to Dean's visit because she had been running a fever overnight (never during the day!!), had a sore throat and a cough. Her ped and I debated running the flu test because she really didn't seem sick but in the end we decided we would and guess what it was +++. We don't know which virus she has but she is on Tamiflu to reduce the viral load and shedding to hopefully prevent Dean from catching it. Both dh and I have had minor symptoms (headaches and sore throats) but haven't really felt too bad.

Trick or treating is still up in the air... I had to break the news to Sarah yesterday :-( She took it pretty well but was obviously disappointed. Halloween is early here 3pm-7pm so we may let her go to a couple of houses depending on how she is feeling and the weather.

We started tummy time this week and Dean has rolled from front to back a couple of times :-) He was so suprised with himself... it was too cute!

Last weekend we had a nice visit with dh's Dad and Karen given the circumstances. They arrived in around lunch time on Saturday and we had 4:30 dinner reservations at Texas de Brazil.... 2hrs later we rolled out of the resturant feeling fat and happy and dh shouldn't need to bug me about red meat for awhile LOL. Sunday was spent watching football, eating pizza and napping on the couch :-) They headed back home on Monday morning.

We booked Sarah's birthday getaway this week. She picked the Wilderness Territory at the Wisconsin Dells this year. It has 4 indoor waterparks and is only 1 mile from the MagiQuest which she wanted to do also so it should be fun! Of course this means I have to don a bathing suit EEEKKK!!
